Pathlight 2013

My Name is Aravindhan Ravikumar and I am from Acacia.

Pathlight School is founded in January 2004 with just 41 students. Today, it has more than 800 students and is one of the fastest growing and progressive special schools in Singapore. It is the first autism-focused school in Singapore that offers the mainstream academic curriculum, together with life readiness skills. It serves primarily children with autism, aged 7 to 18 years old, who are cognitively able to access mainstream academics.

The values are education, quality, inclusion and collaboration.

I was six years old when I entered Pathlight on 3 January 2006. I was living in Primary School for six years before I moved to secondary school in 2013. I moved from Campus 2 to Campus 1 from 2009 to 2011 until I moved back to Campus 2 in 2012.

The Graduation Night is held on 5 November 2012. I followed instructions carefully. I ate potato chips, chicken rice and mushroom soup. I did the CCA Dance during the graduation night. I heard Viva La Vida when the outing slideshow is played.

Chinese New Year is held in January and February of every year. The zodiac lasts every twelve years. This picture shows a lion dance. This year is Year of the Snake. Year of the Dog is in 2006.

The school children were on a trip to Melbourne. It is located in Australia. This picture is taken in 2012. There were teachers too in Melbourne. It is a sunny day in Melbourne.
